Parma Centro has a lot of parks that are perfect for kids of all ages. If you're like me and live in an apartment in the city center, Parma's parks serve as your backyard - a place to play, exercise or meet friends after school. Many of the local parks have football (soccer, to you fellow Americans) fields, basketball courts, trampolines, carousels, playgrounds and bars for a coffee, ice cream or aperitivo.
The best part of Citadella is the trampoline. For a couple of euros, your kids can jump out all their extra energy in 10 minute increments. Even adults are allowed to jump!
Parco Ferrari is another great spot for kids. Inside the park you can find Gommaland - a mini amusement park - with bouncy castles, trampolines and other actitivies. A small fee at the entrance gives you access to everything. Gommaland can also be booked for birthday parties.
Parma is full of greenspaces. Take a look at our Kids & Family page for more ideas.
