Holiday Markets
Many traditional Christmas festivities such as the Crib Exhibition in the cloister of the splendid Church of the Annunziata, the Fair of Saint Lucia in Via Garibaldi.
​
Santa Lucia: in the Italian tradition, Sta Lucia, the patron saint of sight, vision and wisdom, travels on herdonkey to visit the homes of children on the eve of December 13th. Families leave an offering of coffee and sweets for her and snacks for her donkey. Santa Lucia leaves a small gift for each child. Learn more about Santa Lucia here and here.
