Welcome to our website! We are a group of expats living in Parma, Italy
What is Parma Mia Expats?
Parma Mia was started in 2018 by our friend Sarah Jennie Goldman. Originally, it was a blog born out of frustration for lack of information in English for expats. We can all agree that one must learn Italian to live here, but when you're new in town, navigating life can feel like an epic scavenger hunt if you haven't learned your first Italian words, or even if you have!

Whether you are a new resident, or just passing though, Sarah has passed on the reins to us, Doyin and Elena, to help you find the resources you need to feel at home in Parma.

Meet the Team!
Doyin McArthur & Elena Molet
Doyin McArthur, is a British expatriate who has lived in Parma since 2011. Living in Parma with two children, Doyin was impacted by the scarcity of English-language resources. Now speaking Italian and well rooted in the community, Doyin has a lot of expertise to share.

Elena Molet, a relative new comer, arrived from the US in 2021. She was lucky to have support from her husband's company to set up life in Italy, but she quickly realized how challenging it is to navigate life in a foreign country. Doyin, Sarah and other very helpful expats, along with many wonderful Italians, have made Elena feel at home.

After learning about Parma Mia and seeing the need to restart this wonderful resource, the two women got to work transforming it into Parma Mia Expats. The site serves as a vital resource, offering social opportunities and valuable information aimed at enhancing the living experience for international individuals and families relocating to or residing in Parma.
